Among online things, the Wikiorðabok project seems promising...

I may add that unfortunately no icelandic dictionary has been started in the
freedict database (where they are downloadable)
(http://www.freedict.org/en/list.html). Anybody interested ? Perhaps' when I
am more learnt... ;)

I've found a copy of an old paper En-Is dictionary (with all the errors
from the scanning, yuk!) :
http://penguin.pearson.swarthmore.edu/~scrist1/scanned_books/txt/oi_cleasbyvigfusson.txt

One of the grammar links is excellent
(http://www.samkoma.com/mimir/mimir.htm)

I've tried the free trial on ordabok.is. The site is good (though I didn't
find any Icelandic equivalent for "yuk" ;) but the fact is that it's still
online... (I'll add that the free one
http://www.icelandic.hi.is/?ret=default&cat=pl&lang=en
is quite correct too, but only from English towards Islensk)

I maybe see what is tölvuorðabókin worth, but, well, me too I can remember
unpleasant experiences with wine on other things and I'm far to be an
expert ;) ...

Kærir þakkir to all of you for your help,
